The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you’re looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn’t have the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. However, like cheaper models, it doesn’t use LIDAR to help you map your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot vacuum with mapping can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is setup you can begin the automatic cleaning with a single button click. You can select the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn’t lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It’s not the best affordable robot vacuum time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot says it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It’s the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, nearest D-shaped design, which will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It’s a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used, but we found it only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an advanced filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think it’s a nice statement, but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the structure of your home, and vSLAM for mapping the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire house in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and nearest vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on more expensive models, and its mopping system is better still–its spinning pads do a more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

It’s only downside is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. But that’s not a major issue when you’re looking to purchase one of the best robots available. The robo-vac’s dust tank is also larger than many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

For the mopping device, nearest I was awestruck with its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones produce minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without distraction. If it comes into contact with the wall or a piece of furniture it gently bumps into it before moving on.

What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it’s designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something needs attention, for example, the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine rooms to modify how the Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is beneficial when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first pass. It is able to even clean up spills that are wet however I would recommend cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you could wish for. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, and the mop’s rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor system that recognizes obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive–it’s nearly two feet tall and deep and weighs almost four pounds–the entire robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even when you’re at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we’ve tested, because of its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it increases suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of features that you aren’t likely to find on robots of this price. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It’s also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are nice to have but they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury and could mean it’s a little more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It’s tall and slim with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving through the house. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your house. This creates a detailed floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors, and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also perform well, removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. It wasn’t as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
